Gene Nims

"Nims" is a name that has been known in the construction industry of Shreveport, Louisiana since the mid-1940's. While growing up, Gene Nims worked for his dad, a residential/commercial builder. Gene continued to work for his dad as an estimator/project manager until 1986 when he began his own construction company. Gene's philosophy is the same as his dad's: be honest in your business dealings, provide quality work at a fair price, and work hard. Gene's commitment to professionalism and work values are a testament to the growth of Gene Nims Builders, Inc. 

As a youth, Gene was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and received its highest honor of achievement as an Eagle Scout. Gene learned at an early age the meaning of honesty, quality, and hard work. Following his graduation from Byrd High School, Gene attended LSU and Northwestern University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Today, Gene continues his involvement with the Boy Scouts as an Eagle Advisor for Troop 10. He is also a member of the Rotary Club, Better Business Bureau, and BOMA, where he currently serves as a board member. He and his family are active members of First United Methodist Church of Shreveport.
